Terms of Service

Hadissiya ("Hadissiya", "we", "us", "our") is a task marketplace app operated by Tharindu Jayasekara, trading as Hadissiya (ABN 91 576 730 203) of 20/11 Camilleri Way, Gungahlin ACT 2912, Australia. Hadissiya connects people in Sri Lanka who need a task done ("Posters") with people willing to bid on and complete that task ("Taskers").

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Hadissiya app and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

We're an Australian company, so these Terms are written and administered under Australian law even though the Service is currently offered to users in Sri Lanka.

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a legally binding contract to use Hadissiya. By using the Service you confirm that you meet these requirements.

You're responsible for providing accurate information when you register (including your phone number and name) and for keeping that information up to date.

You sign up using your mobile phone number and a one-time verification code (OTP). You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account, and for keeping your device and any verification codes secure.

You may not create an account on behalf of someone else, share your account with another person, or maintain more than one account without our permission.

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Account Settings → Delete account. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data when you do.

Hadissiya is a marketplace that lets Posters describe a task and Taskers submit bids to complete it. We are not a party to the agreement that forms between a Poster and a Tasker when a bid is accepted — that agreement is between them.

We don't supervise, direct, or control how a Tasker performs a task, and we don't guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or outcome of any task, bid, or interaction between users. You use the Service, and interact with other users, at your own risk.

Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, agency, partnership, or joint-venture relationship between Hadissiya and any user, or between a Poster and a Tasker.

Posters are responsible for accurately describing the task, including scope, location, required date, and budget. Taskers are responsible for the accuracy of the bids and offers they submit.

Accepting a bid creates a direct arrangement between the Poster and the Tasker for that task. Hadissiya is not responsible for ensuring either party honours that arrangement, though we may suspend or remove accounts that repeatedly fail to do so.

You may not post tasks that are illegal, unsafe, fraudulent, or that violate a third party's rights. We can remove any listing or offer that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms.

Card payments are processed by Stripe. Hadissiya does not store your full card details — see our Privacy Policy for details on what Stripe holds on our behalf.

Prices and payments in the app are shown in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR). Any service or transaction fee charged by Hadissiya will be disclosed to you before you confirm a payment.

Refunds between a Poster and a Tasker are a matter for those two users to agree, unless the payment was processed incorrectly due to an error on our part or Stripe's, in which case contact us at info@hadissiya.lk.

After a task is completed, Posters and Taskers may leave a rating and written review of each other. Reviews must be honest, based on an actual completed task, and must not contain unlawful, defamatory, or abusive content.

We may remove a review that breaches these Terms, but we're not obliged to actively monitor every review submitted.

In-app messaging is provided using a third-party chat service (Stream). Messages relating to a task are visible to the participants in that conversation and, where necessary for safety, support, or legal reasons, to Hadissiya.

Don't use in-app chat to harass, threaten, or defraud another user, or to share content that's illegal, obscene, or infringes someone else's rights.

You must not: impersonate another person; provide false information; attempt to circumvent the platform to avoid fees; use the Service for any unlawful purpose; upload malicious code; scrape or harvest data from the Service; or interfere with the proper working of the Service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section, with or without notice, depending on the severity of the breach.

The Hadissiya app, its branding, and its underlying software are owned by Tharindu Jayasekara, trading as Hadissiya or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You're granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for its intended purpose.

You retain ownership of content you upload (such as task photos, your profile photo, and review text), but you grant us a licence to host, display, and distribute that content within the Service for the purpose of operating it.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and Hadissiya disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability can be limited, it's limited, at our option, to resupplying the relevant service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.

To the extent permitted by law, Hadissiya is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from the conduct of another user, arrangements made between users, or task outcomes.

You agree to indemnify Hadissiya against claims, losses, and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your interactions with other users, except to the extent caused by our own negligence or wrongdoing.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms, if we reasonably suspect fraud or harm to other users, or if required to do so by law. You can stop using the Service, or delete your account, at any time.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Service or the law. If we make a material change, we'll let you know in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Australian Capital Territory, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
